The online applications for XAT 2017 have been closed on November 30, however, the aspirants still have a chance to apply for the test but it comes with a price. Such aspirants will be required to pay an additional amount in the form of late fee as they missed the normal application window that was open for over 100 days.
The XAT 2017 application form was made available on August 17, while the cut-off date for application submission was announced as November 30. The application fee for this duration was Rs. 1600, while now it will be Rs. 2000. As XAT only serves as an eligibility test for management admissions, the candidates are also required to pay an additional fee per course for admission into a particular institution. It was initially Rs. 300 per XLRI course and now stands at Rs. 500 per course at XLRI. The XAT scores are valid for admissions across 150+ B-Schools and the candidates have the opportunity to apply for as many institutions as they wish.
XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) has been in practice for past 60 years and XAT 2017 is being administered by XLRI Jamshedpur. The test is conducted in conventional pen-paper mode. For admissions into postgraduate management courses for the academic session 2017-18, the XAT 2017 would be held on January 8 across 47 Indian cities and 2 International cities. The results of the test will be announced by January 31, 2017. 11 XAT member institutes along with 141 other B-Schools will use XAT score for admissions.
XAT 2017 would be of 3 hours 30 minutes duration and will be conducted in a single shift from 10 am to 1.30 pm. The admit cards to all eligible applicants will be made available from December 20. The test primarily tests candidates in Quantitative Ability, English Language & Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, General Knowledge and Essay writing skills.
