The long wait for more than 4 lakh students ended today when West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) declared the Class 12 board results at 10.30 am. West Bengal Board 12th results are available at official sites of the board, students can also access their result using SMS facility.
State’s Government established the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act 1975. The council accomplishes its duties from the main office at Salt Lake, Kolkata and four regional offices at Darjeeling, Bardhaman, Medinipur and Kolkata. WBCHSE was mainly formed to strengthen the education system in the State and it looks over education proceedings in 10+2 classes. Currently, there are more than 4000 schools affiliated to the Council and approximately 8 lakh students enrolled collectively.
West Bengal Higher Secondary examination results were declared through a Press Conference at Rabindra Milan Manch, Vidyasagar Bhavan, the head office of WBSCHE. The Board already directed the Schools to collect mark sheets and other relevant documents and distrbute them to all students by today itself. Students can collect the hard copy of their marksheet from respective schools.
We can soon get the toppers list, so as to know the name of particular students who has got maximum marks this year. The list contains the name of student, school and district. Last year Purba Medinipur district recorded highest pass percentage in the State. Overall percentage last year was 78.7 which is expected to witness a rise of minimum 5 percent. Anirban Saha from Raiganj scored 478 marks and topped West Bengal Higher Secondary exam 2014.
