West Bengal Madhyamik result 2017 has been announced now at the scheduled time of 10 am. Students can check their results at www.wbresults.nic.in and also at www.wbbse.org, both are the official websites.
West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has scheduled the declaration of the result of Madhyamik Pariksha All India India Secondary School Examination today (May 27) at 10 am. Madhyamik result 2017 by WBBSE for West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Examination 2017 can be checked now.
Around 10.71 lakh students were waiting for the announcement of madhyamik results 2017 as with no confirmation from the Board regarding the result date, the students were left confused by varying media reports saying different result dates. But the board finally confirmed the date yesterday. The students will be able to check Madhyamik Class 10th results at wbresults.nic.in. West Bengal Madhyamik examination results will be announced at wbresults.nic.in, apart from the official website of the board. The latest update says that the Madhyamik result 2017 will be declared on 27th May at 10 am.
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) conducted the Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Examination) from February 22 to March 3 for which a total of 10,71,717 students were registered. For the record, this year witnessed more girl students participating in the exams. Nearly 6 lakh girls took WBBSE Madhyamik exams this year, surpassing the boys which were just 4.8 lakh. The examination was conducted across 2,791 exam centers in the State. This was also the first time that the exams were conducted as per the new curriculum.
A meeting was called up by the WBBSE on May 16 to discuss the result date, however, but the exact date was provided by the Board just 2 days ago. After the meeting, one WBBSE Official told HT that the results of Madhyamik examination will be declared on May 27 morning.
WBBSE will hold a press conference on the day of Madhyamik results wherein the names of toppers will be announced. The results will also be put up on the official website for providing immediate information to the students. Apart from the official websites, some third-party result portals like IndiaResults.com, ExamResults.net will also host the results. Unlike Tamil Nadu and few other states, West Bengal will continue to publish the list of toppers, meritorious students.
IndiaResults.com has also updated that “WB Madhyamik Pariksha Exam Result 2017 will be declared on 27th May at 10 am.”
Once the results are officially announced, the students will be able to access the results by using their roll numbers. After the announcement of Madhyamik results, the students will be provided with mark sheets, pass certificates through the respective schools.
The number of students taking the Madhyamik examination increased from the previous year. In 2016, around 8,75,648 students took the exams, while the passing percentage was recorded as 81.8%. The statistics of this year’s result along with the names of Madhyamik toppers will be available shortly after the declaration of WB Madhyamik result 2017.
