VTU 6th semester results 2017 Out at results.vtu.ac.in – April 30

April 30, 2017, morning update: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has declared the results of it’s sixth semester B.E. regular semester exams held in Dec 2016-Jan 2017. Students can check their VTU 6th sem results 2017 at results.vtu.ac.in or through the link given below.

Last week: Recently VTU declared the results of it’s 8th semester exams for Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) regular examinations held during December 2016 to January 2017. The varsity also declared IV semester MTech results. With that out of the way, we’re inching closer to the declaration of VTU 7th sem results and the remaining semester results.

On April 14, in talks with TOI, the Vice-Chancellor of (VTU) Varsity had said that the announcement of results will begin in a fortnight. He had further said that the results of seventh and eighth semesters would be declared first and subsequently, the process of declaring results of all semesters will be completed in 12 days.

Now, there had been some serious doubts whether or not VTU would start announcing results this week as per few reports. There have been many complaints about delayed declaration of the VTU B.E. results with students getting impatient about the long wait. After all, it had been more than 3 months since the exams were over. But if VTU were to be believed, issues ranging from the introduction of crash courses and then conducting it’s exams, declaring results, to going back to the traditional evaluation process had caused such delay in the results.

The crash course results of first to sixth semesters have been declared in recent weeks and the revaluation applications have also been submitted. Now the students are to wait more for revaluation results of crash courses.

Now that the Varsity has outed long-awaited results of 8th semester, candidates can expect their VTU 7th semester results 2017 within a time span of next 2-3 days. VTU has not notified of the exact dates for results of remaining semesters but expect the declaration process to be wrapped up in next two weeks if VTU holds on to it’s statement.

After 7th sem results in 2-3 days, VTU 3rd and 5th sem results will follow. CBCS results are awaited too. VTU has also made CBCS mandatory for all students now as per a notice issued earlier this month.

Candidates may visit the official website www.results.vtu.ac.in to check the 8th semester results. Your University seat number will be required to access the results, so, keep it handy.

The varsity also issued another notice today regarding holding of examinations for 5th and 7th semester crash course examinations. The varsity says that now that the results of backlog have been announced, colleges and student are well aware of their eligibility to the semesters they have studies under crash/extricating semester facility.

Now, VTU has notified that it will conduct 5th and 7th semester examinations only for crash/extricating semester students in order to reduce the burden for appearing for two semester exams at one time.

The practical examinations for these students will be conducted on May 13th and May 14th, 2017. The theory exams will be conducted on dates between 19th May and 28th May, 2017. The details schedule/time table is yet to be released, we’ll update once it comes out. The results of these exams would be announced late this year, along with the results of June/July semester exams 2017.
