VTU CBCS results this week

May 29: It’s been 2 days over the schedule date when 1st semester CBCS results for 2017 exams were supposed to be out and VTU has not updated the status on results. Since today is Monday, it is expected that the University will provide us with some information, if not results, at least dates. Updates will follow on this page.

Karnataka, May 27 Update: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) will announce the results of it’s first semester Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) scheme today. Expectedly, VTU 1st sem results 2017 of CBCS scheme will be announced anytime today at website www.vtu.ac.in if previous trends are to be considered. In the officially notified schedule, VTU has mentioned the declaration date of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) 1st semester results 2017 (CBCS) as on May 27, 2017, i.e., today. The results to be out yesterday as per the notification. The results of some region should’ve been declared by yesterday night.

VTU What it means is that if not for all, at least the results of one or two regions will be out today, same way the VTU CBCS results of 3rd semester were declared on May 23rd, only for Balagavi and Kalaburagi region at first. The results were published online at CBCS portal at around 10:40 pm. Note that the main page for VTU results is results.vtu.ac.in while VTU CBCS result portal is result.vtu.ac.in. And if you’ve followed ExamsWatch around here, you know that real time updates will be given here.

There are speculations too that VTU is trying to declare 2nd semester results with 1st semester today. While it seems unlikely, there’s no doubting that it can’t happen. Apart from 1st and 2nd semester CBCS results, VTU is yet to announce the CBCS results of B.E./B.Tech 4th semester too. The non-CBCS results of 3rd and 4th semester regular batch exams were declared on May 16. And then there are the results of PG courses (MBA, MTech, MCA) which haven’t even started to be declaration.

If that ‘s not all, the revaluation of the these exam results is yet to begin and then the results are awaited. The Varsity is trying to wrap up the process in the first fortnight of June so not to prolong the previous results over to the even semester exams. With even semester exams in sights, more delay in results is sure to complicate the students’ preparation for exams.

After the VTU result of 1st sem CBCS are out, the revaluation process will be notified. The revaluation process is yet to begin for third semester CBCS exam results too.
