VPPUP has announced UP ITI result for 1st round on July 11, 2016, and the students who have been allotted a seat are required to report to the respective ITIs to furnish the admission formalities by July 18. Students can access UP ITI allotment result at the official site www.vppup.in by using their registration number and date of birth.
Vyavasayik Pareeksha Parishad Uttar Pradesh (VPPUP) had invited applications from students for admissions in government, aided and private unaided ITI colleges across the state. All the admissions for the academic session 2016-17 are being done on the basis of merit only as the authority did not conduct any entrance test for admissions. There are total 69,014 seats on offer at 219 government-run ITI colleges. Apart from government colleges, 1,69,332 seats in private colleges are also to be filled through the admission process. To promote the industry based education among girls, the government has also set up 12 colleges specifically for women. The state government is also running 64 institutions for students belonging to scheduled caste/scheduled tribe where 70 percent seats are reserved only for them.
The admission process is undergoing for Group A and B courses, Engineering & non-engineering courses. Students were allowed to choose maximum 10 courses in 6 institutes as per their qualification and preference. VPPUP is going to publish separate merit lists for Group A and B courses. As per the new regulations, the local students are being provided preference for admissions.
