VIT University has rolled out the official notification for its engineering entrance exam – VITEEE 2017 for admissions into the B.Tech programme for the academic year commencing in July next year. The engineering aspirants across the country look out for the VIT University as the best destination for engineering studies as the varsity offers unique experience and opportunities to its students. The aspirants can apply for VITEEE 2017 through online as well as offline mode. The online application portal has been opened today (9 November 2016).
VIT University has added two new campus for admissions this year and hence VITEEE 2017 would serve as an admission test for VIT’s four campuses; Vellore campus, Chennai Campus, Amaravathi campus in Andhra Pradesh and Bhopal campus in Madhya Pradesh. VITEEE 2017 would be used as a single mode for admissions in B.Tech programmes in BioTech, Bio-Med, Civil, Chemical, CSE, CSE (Bio Info), CSE (IS), CSE (DA), CSE (NS), ECE, ECE (IOT), EEE, EIE, IT, Mechanical, Mechanical (Energy), Mechanical (Auto), Production & IE, Electronics & Computer Engineering and Fashion Technology offered under the banner of VIT University.
The engineering aspirants can also get the VITEEE 2017 application form by paying Rs. 990. The offline application form can be purchased through designated branches of Post Officers or by handing over a DD in person at VIT Univrsity, Vellore or Chennai campus. For online applications, the application fee is Rs. 970 which can be paid through Net Banking.Credit Card/Debit Card. The online application form have been made available at www.vit.ac.in.
The last date to apply for VITEEE 2017 has been set as February 28, 2017 as the test is scheduled to be held from April 5 to 16, 2017. The slot booking window would be opened in March and the results declaration would be done tentatively on April 24. The counselling for all qualified candidates would be organised in May as the classes would commence in the first week of July.
VITEEE 2016 Exam : The entrance exam would be taken as a computer based test. The exam would be organised across 119 cities in three sessions of 150 minutes each (9 am to 11.30 am, 12.30 pm to 3 pm and 4 pm to 6.30 pm). All the applicants would be issued e-admit card for the VIT entrance exam after successful slot booking.
The entrance exam would consist of four parts : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English. The first three parts would consist of 40 questions each, while there will be 5 questions in English. Each question would carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking. The results of VIT engineering entrance exam would be announced on April 24.
VIT University also offers scholarships to deserving students. The toppers of each State Board and Central Board will be provided 100 percent tuition fee waiver. The students getting rank between 1 to 50 in VITEEE 2017 would be offered 75 percent tuition fee waiver. 50 percent and 25 percent tuition fee waiver would be offered to VIT rank holders of 51 to 100 and 101 t0 1000 respectively.
