Uttar Pradesh government is going to fill approx 68,500 posts of Assistant Teachers across the State. A notification for recruiting 68,500 teachers in junior schools of UP was released recently. The official notification is expected to be released on January 23. As per the dates mentioned in the notice, the online application process would commence on January 25 and would continue up to February 05, 2018. The Assistant Teachers exam 2018 is expected to be conducted by the Examination Regulatory Authority on March 12, 2018.
The Examination Regulatory Authority, Allahabad would look after the exam. The candidates belonging to General and OBC category are required to pay Rs. 600 towards the application fee while those belonging to SC/ST category will have to pay Rs. 400. The last date to deposit the registration fee is February 07, the notice mentions. Even the applicants will be allowed to make corrections on the submitted application form, the candidates can make corrections in the edited application form from February 13 to 15.
The assistant teacher recruitment application form would be available on the official web portal from January 25. The candidates would be able to register for the test by February 05, while the fee can be deposited till February 07, 2018. The instructions for filling the online application form would also be available on the official site so the candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling the online application form.
As per norms, those candidates who have cleared the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or the Central and completed either D.El.Ed, D.Ed, B.Ed or BTC would be eligible to apply for the Assistant Teachers’ Recruitment Exam 2018. It is expected that somewhere around 25 lakh aspirants will take the written examination. UPTET results were announced on December 15, over 9,76,760 candidates had taken the TET exam held on October 15, 2017.
Candidates who have cleared UPTET 2017 with qualifying marks would be issued a certificate which would be admissible only for the Assistant Teachers Recruitment Exam 2018, informed an official. However, the recruitment would take place through merit of the recruitment exam. The applicants of UP Teacher recruitment 2018 will have to appear in the written examination tentatively scheduled to be held on March 12. The minimum qualifying marks will be 45% for General category and 40% for SC/ ST categories. The results of the test would be announced in the last week of April.
