USIEF- EducationUSA Fair Coming To Eight Indian Cities

The USIEF- US University Fair is going to be held in eight cities in the country of India under EducationUS- India Tour 2015, travelling through 8 cities in 16 days. The fair will be starting from 29 September and will wrap off on 14 October. The Fair will be held in cities of Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahemdabad.

United States-India Educational Foundation popularly known as USIEF was established in the year 1950 under a under a bilateral agreement on educational exchange between India and the United States. For the first time USIEF has planned to host the USA University Education in Coimbatore on October 4, 2015 as part of their annual All India Tour.

The participating Universities will acquaint the parents and the students about the academic programs that are being offered by the Universities of USA at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Universities of USA represent a wide geographic area in the United States.

USA since ages has been the Educational Hub for Foreign students and China and India are the top contributors in this student population of USA. According to Project Atlas*, in the year 2013-2014 total 886,052 International Students were enrolled in various educational programs in Different areas of USA. According to the reports, US colleges have registered 32% jump in Indian students admissions in 2014 as compared to the academic year 2013.

US Consulate, Chennai said, “discussions will also be an integral part of the fair, wherein the students will be addressed by the representatives of the University about the choices available to pursue higher education in US, the application process of US Student Visa and many other things.

What is Education USA? It is a global network of career guidance centres located in 170 countries across the world. It is supported by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).

In India, Education USA centres at the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) are actively involved in promoting higher education by providing the best information about educational institutions in US and about the fellowships available for qualified individuals so as to make them learn about how best to access the opportunities.

USIEF was established in 1950 under a bilateral agreement on educational exchange between India and the United States.

Not only USIEF is involved in hosting Education USA program but also it promotes mutual understanding between the citizens of India and America via educational exchange programs that are being conducted for the scholars and professionals. Even the Fulbright Nehru Master’s Fellowship is offered by USIEF to pursue master’s degree at selected US colleges and universities.
