UPSEE 2017 official answer keys out, results on May 30: AKTU

UPSEE 2017: AKTU released the official answer keys on the evening of April 16 and the results will be declared on or before May 30.

The first session of UPSEE 2017 was conducted by the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University yesterday and soon after the completion of all the four papers scheduled for the day, the varsity uploaded UPTU answer key at official site upsee.nic.in. The students who had taken the UPSEE Paper 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 can check their respective question paper set answer key to assess their performance.

Update from April 16: The answer keys for paper 1, 2, 3 of the written test held today has been released online by AKTU. The students can access the answer keys as well as question paper for all sets of question paper – Paper 1 – AA, AB, AC, AD; Paper 2 – BA, BB, BC, BD and Paper 3 – CA at the official website www.upsee.nic.in. The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2017) viz UPTU kick-started on April 16 with over 1.4 lakh participating in it. The exam consists of total 11 papers and as per the schedule, Papers 1 to 4 was administered online today. Remaining papers will be conducted on April 22 & 23. The majority of UPSEE applicants appear for Paper 1 to 4 as it is meant for admissions in Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy undergraduate courses.

UPTU UPSEE answer key 2017UPSEE question papers are set up in different sets comprising of same questions but in a different order. The University will upload the question booklet of all sets along with the answer key of one set. The students will have to match the questions & answers from the master set in order to check their respective answers.

UPSEE Paper 1 was for B.Tech and B.Pharm courses, Paper 2 for B.Tech (Bio-Technology), Paper 3 for B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering) and Paper 4 was for B.Arch. B.Pharm. applicants were the choice to attempt any of Paper 1 or 2. Papers 1, 2 & 3 were conducted in the morning shift (10 am to 1 pm), while Paper 4 (Aptitude Test for Architecture) was held in the evening shift from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.

UPSEE 2017 was conducted simultaneously across 176 test centers today. Out of these, 162 test centers were set up in 41 cities of Uttar Pradesh and remaining 14 centers were set up in 8 major cities across the Country. The entrance exam for remaining papers (Paper 5 to 11) will be conducted as an online test in around 17 cities. The admit cards for online test will be available from April 18, the University said in a notice.

AKTU will assess the answer sheets of entrance exam and will declare the results on or before May 30, the official notification states. Based on the performance in the UPSEE 2017, the University will prepare separate merit lists for each course. The Paper 1, 2 & 3 carry 600 marks and Paper 4 carries 500 marks. The cut-off percentage of marks for the merit of successful students is 25%, which means that the students will have to score at least 25% marks in order to be considered for admission. The cut-off percentage of marks will remain 20% for SC, ST students as per the State government’s order.

The University adopted several new methods this time to make the exam more transparent and fool-proof. Before the release of UPSEE 2017 notification, the varsity had announced that the students will have to provide Aadhaar card details for filling the application forms. Even the admit cards of UPSEE have been provided with bar-codes. The students were also instructed to carry Aadhaar card to the exam center for verification purposes.

As per the reports, 1,41,961 students had applied for UPSEE 2017, the break-up of which is: 1.20 lakh for B.Tech & B.Pharm; 13,767 for B.Tech (Bio-Technology); 90 for B.Tech (Agriculture) and 7,240 for B.Arch. There are around 44 branches in B.Tech. course offered at over 250 Engineering Colleges affiliated to AKTU, along with 100 colleges offering B.Pharm course. Out of total seats, 75% seats will be filled by Uttar Pradesh domicile students, while remaining seats will remain open for students belonging to other States. The private colleges affiliated to AKTU will fill 10% of Engineering seats through JEE Mains and the remaining 15% seats through management quota.
