UPTET result announcement soon, UP to get 68 thousand teachers

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test was conducted on October 15 by the Examination Regulatory Authority in which around 10 lakh candidates participated. UPTET Result 2017 is slated to be announced soon and we are keeping close track of all the developments. UPTET result was initially speculated to be announced on November 30, however, there has been no word from the authority since then. UPTET 2017 result will be announced soon, Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Authority, Sutta Singh said to a leading daily few days back. The Teacher Eligibility Test was conducted on October 15 as two papers; Paper 1 for Primary Classes (PRI) and Paper 2 for Upper Primary Classes (UPRI). Following the procedure, the preliminary answer keys (Uttarmala) were put in the public domain on October 18 for the candidates to assess and submit objections.

The objections on UPTET 2017 answer keys were submitted till October 23, after which the final answer keys were released on November 6. After further objections on answer keys of Paper 1, UP Basic Education Board released re-revised answer keys on November 22, which were kept available for all candidates up to November 30. As per the records, 10,09,347 candidates applied for UPTET 2017, while some 9.76 lakh actually took the exam. This includes 3,49,192 takers for Paper 1 and 6,27,568 takers for Paper 2. Uttar Pradesh TET exam was conducted simultaneously at 1634 exam centers.

UPTET result announcement will draw over 10 lakh users to the UPBasicEduBoard website, which may slow down the website as witnessed during the release of UPTET admit cards. We’ll update this page once the UPTET result is out along with the link.

UPTET Merit list 2017 and Marksheet

The candidates for UPTET 2017 exam are also waiting for the release of UPTET merit list 2017. As per the guidelines set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), only those obtaining equal to or more than 60% marks (90 out of 150) will be declared TET qualified. These qualified candidates will form the UPTET merit list 2017, the merit list will be released by the Board.

For UPTET marksheet 2017, the candidates will have to login to the official website upbasiceduboard.gov.in. The marksheet will carry the marks obtained by the candidates in the TET exam.

UPTET Result analysis – Past year trends and Expected result of 2017

During the last TET exam (December 2016) held in Uttar Pradesh, as much as 6,76,270 candidates appeared (including 2,21,654 in Paper 1 and 4,54,616 in Paper 2). Out of these, only 11.38 percent were declared pass as per UPTET results. Only some 25,226 candidates were declared qualified in Paper 1, apart from 50,138 candidates in Paper 2. Considering another UPTET exam held in February 2016, around 15 percent candidates qualified the exam. For the UPTET 2017 exam, the number of exam takers has increased significantly. With over 9.5 lakh candidates taking the exam this year, the actual pass percentage is expected to remain lower than 15 percent. The correct statistics will be revealed by the UPBasicEduBoard along with the declaration of UPTET Result 2017.

Teacher Recruitment in Uttar Pradesh

The Basic Education Board of Uttar Pradesh is currently engrossed in the preparations for recruitment of around 68,500 teachers. As per the new rules, the recruitment of teachers will be done through a written examination slated to be held in December. The written exam will carry a weightage of 60 marks, while 40 marks are earmarked for educational qualifications. Only those declared qualified as per UPTET result 2017 (along with previous TET exam qualified candidates) will be allowed to participate in the recruitment process.
