UPTET 2017 is scheduled to be held on October 15 and the online application process has already commenced for the Teacher Eligibility Test. UPTET online registration process opened on August 25 and the applicants will be allowed to register for UPTET 2017-18 till September 8 (6 pm) only. The last date to submit the UPTET online form is set as September 13. Along with the announcement of TET in Uttar Pradesh, the aspirants have also found the hope for commencement of teacher recruitment process in the State.
The notification of Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET 2017) was issued by the Examination Regulatory Authority Secretary Mrs. Sutta Singh on August 21. The applications for UPTET 2017 are to be accepted via online mode only. While the last date to submit UPTET online application 2017 is September 13, the applicants will have to pay the application fee by September 11. After the closure of online application process, the authority will also give a 5-day window to the applicants for making corrections in the online form. The modifications in the application will be allowed from September 15 to 19 (until 6 PM).
The education department of Uttar Pradesh has issued the orders for holding Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) during the education movement. UP TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) is held for determining the eligibility of the candidates for the post of Teacher in Government schools. The TET exam will be conducted as two papers, i.e. Paper 1 for teachers of Class I to V and Paper 2 for teachers of Class VI to VIII. UPTET 2017 will be conducted for the teaching aspirants who are willing to become Primary Teachers and Secondary Teachers.
UPTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be held for 150 marks each. The duration for both the Papers will be 150 Minutes. In the case of UPTET Paper 1, there will be sections such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi), Language II (English or Sanskrit or Urdu), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Each section will carry 30 questions of 1 mark each. In the case of UP TET Paper 2, there will be sections such as Child Development and Pedagogy (30 questions), Language I – Hindi (30 questions), Language II (English or Sanskrit or Urdu) (30 questions), and Mathematics and Science (or) Social Studies (60 questions).
The applicants need to score over 60 percent to pass the eligibility test. There will be no negative marking criteria. As per the previous records, in 2015, only 17 percent candidates were able to clear the TET exam while in 2016, only 11 percent of the applicants were successful.
