The admit card for UPTET2016 will expectedly be released in a day or two for all the applicants who are going to take the test in next few days. Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET-2016) would be conducted on December 19, 2016, for which over 7.5 lakh candidates have applied. The Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh is overlooking the proceedings of the test.
The applications for UPTET 2016 were submitted from October 5 to 28. UP TET exam is divided in two papers – Paper 1 (for primary teachers) and Paper 2 (for upper primary teachers). As the number of vacancies usually remain high in upper primary classes, over 5 lakh candidates have applied for UPTET Paper 2 only. As per the initial reports, a total of 5,08,044 applications have been submitted for Paper-2, while the Paper-1 applications stand at 2,54,016. Overall over 7.5 lakh candidates will be taking the test on December 19.
The State government had been informed about the vacant position of teachers across the State. The Basic Education Board officials said in a recent high-level meeting that they have been informed that around 15-20 thousand posts of teachers are lying vacant across the State, however, they have asked for detailed information on the same. The government has instructed the officials to fill these vacancies before the current term of government ends. Sources informed that the state government is making all the necessary attempts to release the notification for filling vacant teacher posts before the election process commences so that the recruitment process could finish in time.
The state government had issued a detailed schedule of the proceedings related to UPTET 2016. It mentioned that after completing all the formalities related to the conduct of UPTET, the admit cards will be issued on December 1. The test would be conducted in two shifts on December 19 : Paper 2 in the morning shift (10 am to 12.30 pm) and Paper 1 in the evening shift (2.30 pm to 5 pm). The answer keys will also be released after the test so as to maintain transparency in the test process.
This year, no private college would be made a test venue for UPTET and hence only government-run and aided institutions will be made test venues. The details of exact venue will be intimated to the candidates through UPTET admit card.
The link for downloading UPTET admit card will be activated on the official website www.upbasiceduboard.gov.in and the candidates will be able to access their respective admit card by using their registration details.
The admit cards were supposed to be made available by the Board on December 1, however, it hasn’t been done. We’ll update here once it happens.
