As per latest news, The Basic Education Board will conduct Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) examination on December 19 this year. The exam Regulatory Authority, UP has finalized the schedule of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2016 and the state government has also nodded to hold the examination before the assembly elections next year. The official detailed notification will be posted on education board’s website regarding the UPTET exam.
Neena Srivastava, the secretary of Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh told the press, “According to the directions of state, the registrations for UPTET will start from October 4th, 2016. The candidates will get a window of 24 days as the application form submission process will conclude on October 28th.”
The detailed notification for UPTET 2016 will be released on October 4th by the State education board. Candidates may visit the official website upbasiceduboard.gov.in and www.examregulatoryauthorityup.in on the given day to check for details about UPTET.
Earlier this year, the test was held on February 2nd across the state at 1,128 test venues. About 9 lakh candidates had appeared for the examination and only 1.46 lakh had qualified.
According to the regulations set by National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE), it is mandatory for a State to hold TET at least once a year while it can also conduct it twice. The authority had sent the proposal to hold UPTET in 2016 in August and got the approval earlier this week on Wednesday.
“It is notified that Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board will hold UPTET on 19 December 2016 for both paper 1 (class I to V) and paper 2 (class VI to VIII) candidates.” Last year, around 6.5 lakh had appeared for the upper primary level (paper 2) and 2.5 lakh for primary level (paper 1) examinations.
