The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is going to be held on December 19, as we had reported. The candidates had been waiting for the official notification of UP TET 2016 which was released on Tuesday. As per the dates mentioned in the notice, the online application process would commence on October 5 and would continue up to October 24. TET exam is conducted in the state as per the NCTE guidelines to determine the eligibility of a person to be appointed as a teacher.
UPTET application form can be submitted now as the link to submit form is active now on upbasiceduboard.gov.in (official website).
The Basic Education Board, Uttar Pradesh would look after the TET exam, while the state exam regulatory authority has released the final schedule of the test. It was speculated that the state government would give its nod for holding the teacher eligibility test before the assembly elections next year and accordingly the decision was taken. UP TET would be organised in December for which as much as 9-10 lakh aspirants are expected to apply.
UPTET 2016 Application Process
UP TET application form would be available on the official web portal upbasiceduboard.gov.in from October 5. The candidates would be able to register for the test by October 24 (by 6 pm) while the fee can be deposited till October 26. The instructions for filling the online application form would also be available on the official site so the candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling the UPTET online application form.
The Board would also allow the applicants to rectify the mistakes done in the application form, the facility would be available from October 3 to 7.
UP TET would consist of two papers : Paper 1 for classes I to V and Paper 2 for classes VI to VIII. The test is scheduled to be held in two shifts on December 19. UP TET paper 2 would be conducted in the first shift from 10am to 12.30 pm, while Paper 1 would be conducted in the second shift from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.
To keep up with the other major tests conducted across the country and also to maintain transparency in the examination process, UP Basic Education Board would release the answer keys of the TET exam on December 27 and would invite objections from the candidates. The objections against the released UPTET answer keys would be submitted till December 30. The Board would look after the objections and prepare the final answer keys. The result of the TET exam would be based on the final answer keys and would be announced on February 28, 2017.
