The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released two separate notifications for filling Junior Assistant (Kanisth Sahayak) and Stenographer (Ashulipik) posts in several departments. UPSSSC Junior Assistant Recruitment
UPSSSC had released the advertisement no. 26-Exam/2016 for the direct recruitment to 548 posts of Junior Assistant through Junior Assistant & Junior Clerk Competitive Examination, 2016. Out of all the posts, 136 posts are reserved for OBC candidates, 104 for SC, 10 for ST and the rest 298 are for General category candidates. The online registration process for Junior Assistant recruitment has commenced from December 22.
The Commission has listed certain eligibility criteria for the Junior Assistant recruitment. The candidates must have passed Intermediate (Class 12) and possess DOEACC CCC level certificate. The candidates must have attained minimum Hindi typing speed of 25 words per minute and English typing speed of 30 words per minute. The age limit remains 18-40 years.
The application process is divided in two parts – Part 1 (Candidate Registration) and Part 2 (Submit Application Form). At first, the candidates are required to register themselves (the process has started from 22 December) by filling the basic registration form. On the next day after the completion of Part 1 registration, the fee payment is to be made. Upon the successful payment of application fee, the candidates will have to move to Part 2 of the application process by submitting the application form.

UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment
Through the advertisement number 27-Exam/2016, UPSSSC is inviting online applications for 352 posts of Stenographer. The posts are distributed as 210 for general category, 90 for OBC, 46 for SC and 6 posts for ST. While the age limit and educational qualification are same, the candidates are required to have minimum Hindi Shorthand speed of 80 words per minute along with 25 words per limit Typing speed for Stenographer posts.

- For General & OBC candidates – Rs. 185
- For SC & ST candidates – Rs. 95
- For Differently -abled candidates – Rs. 25
The candidates can make the fee payment through Internet Banking or Credit/Debit Card or SBI e-Challan.
The selection process for Junior Assistant and Stenographer posts remains same and is of 100 marks. The candidates will have to appear for a written test of 40 marks and will be called for further selection process based on the merit list of written test. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a typing test (and shorthand test for Stenographer posts) which is qualifying in nature and hence no marks will be given for this test. UPSSSC will allot maximum 30 marks to the candidates on the basis of qualification, similarly maximum 5 marks will be given under Sports quota. The final selection process will be Interview of 25 marks.
