UPSEE 2018 application process is expected to commence from January 23, AKTU has updated on the official website. The State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2018) would be administered in April. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh will conduct the exam for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in its affiliated institutes.
The students seeking admission in undergraduate programs (B.Tech/ B.Pharm/ BHMCT/ BFAD/ BFA/ Lateral entry to 2nd year of B.Tech/ B.Pharm) and postgraduate programs (MBA/ MCA/ Dual Degree and Direct admission to 2nd year of MCA) in the institutions across Uttar Pradesh State will have to appear for UPSEE 2018. The entrance exam will be applicable for admissions in the academic session 2018-19 only.
Earlier it was announced that UPSEE 2018 would be conducted on April 15, 21, 22, 2018. However, due to its class with all India JEE Main 2018 exam, the UPSEE 2018 exam date has been changed. Now, the UPSEE exam will be held on April 29, May 5, and May 6, 2018.
The application process of UPSEE 2018 is completely online and hence the candidates will have to visit the official website (www.upsee.nic.in) for filling the application form. It is expected that the application process would commence from 11 am and close at 5 pm on whatsoever will be the last date. The entrance exam fee for last year was Rs. 1200 General & OBC category and Rs 600 for Female candidates, SC, ST, and PH category candidates. The fee payment can be made through credit card or debit card or net banking only.
UPSEE 2018 would be organized across the State as well as in some major cities including Bhopal, Dehradun, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, and Ranchi. The details about eligibility, age limit, and others will be available in the UPSEE 2018 information brochure to be released on January 23, 2018.
AKTU, formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) conducts Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) for admissions into government-aided institutions and private unaided institutions associated to UPTU. 15% seats in all private institutes will be filled by NRI Quota and candidates claiming seats under this quota need not appear in UPSEE 2018. The entrance exam has been divided into 11 papers, depending on the courses and hence it would be conducted in OMR based for some papers and as a computer-based test for others.
