The first seat allotment for UPSEE 2016 has been announced. AKTU Lucknow uploaded the details on its website.
UPTU/ AKTU has announced that UPSEE seat allotment 2016 results will be published today on 3 July. Many engineering aspirants have set their sights on Sunday, when the allotment of seats under the UPSEE would be done, even those who are participating in Joint counselling for admissions through JEE. Since the response for admissions via JEE has been excellent this year in first round, top tier rank holders may avoid the UPSEE counselling, however, this will turn out beneficial for low rankers in JEE.
The seat allotment result for first round counselling for UPSEE 2016 is going to be declared today on 3rd July. AKTU, Lucknow, the largest University in Asia which holds affiliation to around 800 institutions, is holding the counselling for admission to various technical and non-technical courses on the basis of UPSEE test scores which was held in May. The counselling had begun from June 24 and will be conducted till August 5.
Ashish Mishra, PRO of AKTU has said that large number of candidates have turned out for counselling this year. The counselling is done to facilitate admissions to technical courses such as B.Tech, B.Pharma and B.Arch along with PG courses such as MBA, MCA, 2nd year lateral entry in B.Tech diploma and B.Sc graduates, and B.Pharma diploma (Pharmacy). The admission are taken through the centralized admission process online, taking rank and scores of UPSEE into consideration.
Reportedly, in engineering test, about 1.19 lakh were termed eligible to attend counselling who had qualified UPSEE. On a whole, close to 2 lakh had registered for the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) for all courses, including 1.36 lakh from engineering alone.
Now, the Central Admission Board (CAB), the committee for admissions this year has given the approval to release first allotment results on the scheduled date. However, the timing isn’t confirmed yet but expect it by noon.
One the seat allotment is out and candidates are allotted any seat in any college, he/she would be required to accept the seat or withdraw. The candidates have to make this choice on 3rd and 4th July as the registrations will resume on 5th July again for the second round of counselling. Candidates who will decide to opt out of first seat allotment, can also can participate in the second round for which allotment results will be announced on July 11.

The aspirants will get admission to college under Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University based on their preference set during counselling registration and also per their rank in UPSEE.
