UPSEE Results By The Numbers: Top Rank Holders

As AKTU announced the UPSEE results yesterday, it also publicized the top 100 rank holders in the state level entrance exam. According to the data provided by the University, a whopping 87.5% aspirants qualified UPSEE-2016, who took the test for engineering courses. The overall passing percentage for MBA courses stands at brilliant 98% who qualified. Out of the total 1,36,851 lakh who took UPSEE (engineering), a total of 1,19,815 were declared qualified by the University. In MBA, out of 7693 who took the test, 7577 qualified.

Samridh Joshi from Lucknow has topped the engineering division with securing 580 marks out of total 600, tailed by Yogesh Kumar from Varanasi who secured 576 marks. In MBA courses, Rajneesh Kumar from Balia achieved first place in the rank list securing 348 marks out of 400 total followed by Riya Katiyar from Kanpur at second place. Samridh obtained an overwhelming 99.6 percent marks while Rajneesh got 87 percent.

Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, formerly known as U.P. Technical University has announced the results of the state entrance examination on Friday. Popular as UPSEE, the entrance exam was conducted on April 17, 23 and 24 across all major cities in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Candidate can check UPTU UPSEE result 2016 at the official web portals; www.upsee.nic.in and www.aktu.ac.in.

UPSEE is being conducted for shortlisting candidates for admission into first year of B.Tech., B.Arch., B. Pharm., B.HMCT, B.FAD, B.FA, MBA, MCA and MAM (5 years dual degree) and for direct admission to 2nd tear of B.Tech, B.Pharm and MCA. Above one and a half lakh candidates successfully appeared in the examination across the state and were waiting for the announcement of the UPSEE result.

Being the major entrance exam for engineering admissions in the state, as much as 1.37 lakh candidates appeared for B.Tech course paper. There are around 1.41 lakh engineering seats in government and private engineering institutions in the state.

Following the standard procedure, AKTU had already published the answer keys (paper solutions) for all papers under UPSEE 2016 so that students could check their answers and submit objections, if any. Meanwhile, the authorities were busy in finalizing the results which have been uploaded online so that candidates can access their results and check their ranks.

For checking the UPSEE result 2016, one just need to feed 8-digit roll number and download their rank card.

Soon the varsity would release the counselling schedule to kick-start the admission process. All the formalities related to the conduct of exam and admissions are designated to the Central Admission Board formed by Uttar Pradesh government.
