UPSC has released the official notification for NDA 2016 examination. The written test will be held on 18th September for which application process has commenced.
Union Public Service Commission issued official notification on June 18 for inviting applications from eligible candidates for pursuing a career in defense forces. UPSC vide examination notice no. 10/2016.NDA-II has mentioned to conduct examination on September 18, 2016, for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the National Defense Academy for the 138th course and for the 100th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). The courses would commence from July 2, 2017.
UPSC conducts NDA exams twice a year in which scores of candidates appear as the selection gives a wonderful opportunity of having a bright career as well as motive of serving the country. This time, UPSC NDA-II exam would be conducted to fill total 355 vacancies in National Defence Academy (208 for Army, 55 for Navy and 92 for Air Force) and 55 in Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme).
The online application form is divided into two parts. Part 1 is a simple registration form where candidates will have to fill basic information. In part 2 of online application form, candidates will have to fill payment details, selection of examination centre, upload photograph and signature and complete the process by agreeing to declaration. As the notification was put up by UPSC, the online application process started and will continue till July 15, 2016 (till 11.59 PM). All the candidates are hereby advised to read the instructions carefully before submitting their application form in order to avoid any mistake. One should also keep in notice the exact size of photograph and signature as most of the applications are rejected only because of faulty images.
As the application process would end on July 15, the written exam would be conducted on September 18, 2016, in all major cities across the country. UPSC would announce the results of the written test and would publish the merit list of candidates. These candidates will have to appear before a Services Selection Board for Intelligence and Personality test. Candidates qualifying written test will face two-stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test. Document verification would also be done at this stage of selection process.
