Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the date for Combined Defence Service (CDS)-II examination which is to be conducted on 1 November, 2015. The candidates who wish to join defence services of India must apply before last date. Candidates will be applying for the post of Assistant Commanded in all three defence forces of our country.
Combined Defence Service (CDS) examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year for recruitment into Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Indian Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy. Candidates who wants to join the defence services have to clear written examination (CDS) conducted by UPSC.
Successful candidates are called for Services Selection Board (SSB) in which candidates are analyzed for about a week. Candidates then have to go medical test. Candidate fulfilling all the requirements are then admitted to above mentioned academies. Beside prestigious job, defence forces offers lucrative salary with extra allowances.

CDS II Notification
CDS-II examination notice has already been issued by UPSC on 24 July, 2015. The last date to apply online or offline is 14 August 2015.
Candidates needs to log on to the official website of UPSC and then to UPSC exam link. Candidates full filling the required criteria need to fill up the application form and complete the payment procedure. The candidate need to submit the application form and are advised to keep a print out copy with them.
# Candidates need to be qualified as graduate from recognized university.
# Must have physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects in 12th standard.
# Technical graduates should have above 60 percent of marks in average of 4 years.
The selection process includes written examination, Interview/personality test, Medical examination and finally SSB (the process goes on for about a week)
