UPSC is going to hold the NDA 2 written examination this month on September 18 and the admit cards have already been released for the aspirants.
The National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (NDA/NA exam) is organised by UPSC twice a year. NDA 1 exam was conducted in April this year, while the NDA 2 exam is scheduled to be held on September 18, 2016. The Commission has made all the necessary arrangements for the exam and the applicants have been issued NDA admit cards to take the test. The admit cards were made available on August 26 and the candidates would be able to download their admit card till the exam date, however, the candidates are advised to take the printout of their e-admit card well before the last date.
The NDA (II) 2016 exam is being conducted to fill total 410 vacancies in National Defence Academy and Naval Academy under 10_2 Cadet Entry Scheme. These vacancies are further divided as 208 for Army, 55 for Navy, 92 for Air Force and 55 for Naval Academy.
UPSC NDA II 2016 exam would be conducted at different venues located at 41 centres across the country, the exact venue shall be mentioned in the admit card of each candidate. The NDA admit card can be downloaded from the official website www.upsc.gov.in by using Registration ID or roll number. The candidates are also advised to check their admit card for any discrepancy/error and contact the Commission if such issue appears. Such candidates, whose photograph is not printed or is not visible on the admit card, are required to carry two identical photographs along with identity proof to the examination hall.
The applicants are required to appear for the written examination that consists of two subjects – Mathematics & General Ability Test. The candidates would be given 150 minutes time to solve the questions in each subject paper. The Mathematics portion would carry the weightage of 300 marks while the General ability test would be of 600 marks.
The candidates can carry clip board or hard board to the examination hall on the condition that nothing is written on it. The candidates are also required to carry a good quality Black ball pen along with them for marking responses on the answer sheet, while the answer sheet and sheet for rough work would be provided at the examination hall. Mobiles, phones, Bluetooth or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the premises where the exam would be held.
