UPSC IFS Main Exam from 12 November, Admit Card released

UPSC IFS Main exam 2016 is scheduled to commence from November 12 and hence the Commission has issued the admit cards for all eligible candidates. IFS Main exam admit card can be accessed from the official web portal www.upsc.nic.in. The IFS Main exam 2016 would be administered for total 10 days and the candidates would have to appear in two shifts for the exam.

The IFS Main exam would be conducted in two sessions : Forenoon session (9 am to 12 noon) and afternoon session (2 pm to 5 pm). On the first day, General English and General Knowledge papers will be conducted in consecutive sessions. The next test will be on November 15 and would continue without any break till November 23.

The admit cards will remain available till the last date of examination, i.e. November 23, but the candidates are advised to get their admit cards as soon as possible to avoid the last minute rush. Union Public Service Commission overlooks the whole examination process.

While the preliminary exam was organized at several test venues spread across the country, the main exam would be conducted at selected places only. These cities include Bhopal, Delhi, Chennai, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Nagpur, Port Blair, Lucknow, and Shimla.

The candidates who had taken the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2016 and opted the ‘Indian Forest Service’ were required to submit the DAF (Detailed Application Form). Based on the DAFs received by the UPSC, the admit cards have been issued only for eligible candidates and they are now required to appear for the Main examination to be held in November.
