Union Public Service Commission has finally released the official notification for Civil Services Preliminary examination 2015. On 23rd May, UPSC published the notification for inviting applications to fill up approximately 1,129 posts. Want to know new implementations for Civil Services examination 2015, read below.
Preliminary examination will be conducted in several centers at 71 cities across the country to scrutinize candidates for Mains exam, which will held across 23 cities. The official notification which was stated to be rolled out on 16th May, was delayed and now it’s out on 23rd May. The detailed information is available in the official notification.
Civil Services Preliminary Examination will consist of two papers, both Objective type (multiple choice questions) in nature and will be of 400 marks (maximum). Prelims examination will serve as a screening test only for Mains exam, hence marks obtained in Preliminary Examination by the candidates will not be counted for determining their final order of merit. As per the official notification, one should remember that the ratio of shortlisted candidates will be about twelve to thirteen times the total approximate number of vacancies to be filled in the year through this examination.

New Amendments in Civil Services Examination 2015 :
UPSC will publish a list of candidates who will qualify for Civil Service (Main) Examination. Candidates will be required to obtain minimum qualifying marks (33% in General Studies Paper- II of Civil Services Preliminary
Examination) since UPSC extended qualifying status to CSAT according to new notice. However only marks scored in General Studies Paper-I of Civil Services Preliminary Examination will be observed for determining merit for Mains exam.
One should also note that there will be negative marking for incorrect answers. Preliminary examination will be composed of two compulsory papers of 200 marks each.
Online application forms for UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam 2015 can be filled up to 19th June 2015 till 11:59 PM.
