Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final result of Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2015. Total 261 candidates have been included in the final result released by UPSC on Thursday, June 9.
The written exam was conducted by the Commission in November last year and the interviews were held this year by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence. Final selected candidates have been selected for admission to the 141th course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course. The total vacancies mentioned by the Commission in these elite institutions are 200 in IMA, 45 in Indian Naval Academy, Kerala and 32 in Air Force Academy, Hyderabad.
The Commission had recommended 4682, 2738 and 550 as qualified in the written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy respectively.
The selection process under Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam is quite rigorous and hence few hundreds make it to the final out of several lakhs who take the written test. UPSC CDS result is available at the official site of upsc, www.upsc.gov.in in a form of pdf file and can be accessed from the home page of the site.
As the result has been announced only for admission to three branches of defence academies, the marks of candidates have not been released. The marks of candidates will be announced once the final result of Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) is declared.
