UPPSC Admit Card released for RO/ ARO Pre Exam 2016

UPPSC has scheduled the preliminary exam under Review Officer/ Assistant Review Officer Recruitment 2016 for November 27, 2016 and has uploaded the admit cards for the exam. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) had issued the advertisement number A-3/E-1/2016 dated 27 September 2016 and invited application to fill Review Officer (Samiksha Adhikari) / Assistant Review Officer (Sahayak Samiksha Adhikari) posts under different departments. A total of 361 posts (including 5 backlog vacancies) are to be filled through UPPSC RO/ ARO Recruitment examination 2016. The applications were submitted from September 27 to October 27 and as per the reports, approx. 3.82 lakh candidates have submitted their application forms and have been issued admit cards to appear for the preliminary exam.

The candidates who have applied for the recruitment are required to undergo two-tier selection process consisting of a preliminary exam and main exam. The preliminary exam for UPPSC RO ARO recruitment is slated to be held on November 27 across 21 districts namely, Allahabad, Lucknow, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Meerut, Raibareilly, Ghaziabad, Jhansi, Kanpur, Etawah, Agra, Mainpuri, Mathura, Barabanki.

The RO / ARO pre exam would be of 200 marks divided among two parts. Part 1 will contain 140 questions under General Studies section and part 2 will have 60 questions under General Hindi (General Vocabulary and Grammer) section. The preliminary exam would be conducted on a single day in two shifts : Part 1 of 2 hours from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and Part 2 of 1 hour from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm.

While many candidates were demanding the postponement of the preliminary exam on Friday, the Commission issued the admit cards later in the day and made it clear the exam would be conducted on November 27 only as per the schedule.

Around 3.82 lakh candidates will appear for the pre exam, as much as 6,498 candidates will be selected to take the main exam. The main exam is scheduled to be held on June 25 & 26, 2017.
