UPPSC Admit Card released for PCS Prelims 2017

UPPSC admit card 2017 has been issued by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) for PCS Preliminary examination. The Commission will hold the Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Preliminary Examination 2017 on 24th September. The admit card can be downloaded online from the website- uppsc.up.nic.in.

uppsc admit card 2017UPPSC had published an advertisement (No. A-2/E-1/2017) dated 22nd February regarding UP PCS Exam 2017 (Combined State Upper Subordinate Examination). There are total 251 notified vacancies to be filled through the exam. Last month, UPPSC had announced the exam date for PCS Prelims exam 2017 for which over 3.5 lakh applicants have registered.

The candidates whose application was not rejected during verification process for UPPSC PCS Exam 2017 can download the admit card for Preliminary Exam. PCS Prelims exam is scheduled to be held on 24th September and will be conducted as two papers. The papers: General Studies I & General Studies II will carry 200 marks each. UPPSC will conduct the two papers in different shifts, Paper 1 from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and Paper 2 from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

PCS Prelims Paper 1 & Paper 2 will have 150 and 100 multiple choice questions respectively. While Paper 2 will remain qualifying in nature, the further selection of candidates depend on their performance in Paper 1. The minimum qualifying score in Paper 2 is fixed at 33 percent. It is compulsory for the candidates to appear in both the papers of Prelims for the evaluation process. The candidates will be disqualified, in case, they do not appear in both in papers. The merit of the applicants will be determined on the basis of obtained marks in Paper-I of the Prelims exam.

The candidates declared qualified in the preliminary exam will be called for the Main exam. The Main exam will be followed by a Personality Test or a Viva-voce.

The candidates can download UPPSC admit card for PCS Prelims 2017 from the official website uppsc.up.nic.in by using their respective registration number and date of birth. One should also carefully examine the details mentioned in the admit card and inform the Commission, in case of any error in the details. The admit card contains important details like candidate’s name, exam date, exam timing and venue details. Those not carrying the valid admit card will not be allowed to appear for the prelims exam.
