After a week’s delay, JEECUP result and UP Polytechnic result 2016 is being declared today on Tuesday, 7th June as the reports have solidified. In a first, JEECUP has already released the answer sheets and provisional marks for the candidates even before the polytechnic results come out.
JEECUP result expected today
JEECUP result 2016 will be published on www.jeecup.org and www.jeecup.nic.in today on June 07, 2016. The Council has not disclosed the exact timing for making the results public and official websites aren’t displaying any notification either but in talks with press, JEECUP Secretary FR Khan has said that the result will be announced after the process of answer sheets and ranking is complete. The answer sheets were displayed online on Saturday and the process of submitting challenges was concluded yesterday on 6th June, 8 pm. So, the candidates can expected their results today.
It’s been a really long week of anticipation and delays for aspirants who took UP Polytechnic examination in 2016 held on 1st May 2016 at around 1200 test venues. As we reported, JEECUP result 2016 was initially scheduled to be 30th or 31st May, but was postponed to 2nd June as per Council’s statement. Failing to meet the deadline, the Council again could not avail the results on 2nd June and not even 3 days later, on the reported 5th June. However, according the the latest report from sources, it’s expected that JEECUP result might get announced today toward the evening.
Despite failed endeavor of the Council, it’s inching towards the result publication of JEECUP 2016 and it can be said with positive notion that students wouldn’t have to wait much more now.
Provisional marks and answer keys
To bring transparency in the exam, Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) had made the answer keys available on 4 June, making candidates able to know how much of their attempted answer are correct in the test. The Council had called more than 100 teachers from different centers to settle the challenges against answer keys within 48 hours, between 4 June to 6 June.
After logging in with their details, candidates can check their provisional marks they’ve obtained in the exam. Candidates must note that the provisional marks are not final, as final marks/score will become known upon the declaration of results by the Council. The marks available in the score card after result will be considered final for counselling and admission process.
Issue over Applied Mathematics exam
The Council is over it’s head about the re-examination of Applied Maths. The test for this subject is now scheduled to take place on 11th July but the Council is making hard preparations for the exam. The test was to be held before on 16th May but was cancelled after the question paper was leaked and went viral. The Applied Maths exam was then rescheduled for 26th May. But after the envelope for question paper of exam to be held on 26th May was opened a day earlier in JEECUP and went public, the test was cancelled for the second time.
The Council is making sure that none of this happens for the third time in a row and is making tight security arrangements. The delay in this exam is sure to cause delay in commencement of academic session this year.
Countdown to results
The conclusion of answer key and provision marks publication process means that Council is ready to publish JEECUP result now. The result might get published anytime now, or at least any day, suffice to say here.
