Uttar Pradesh Police will be absorbing around 41,520 Constables in the Force this year and for the same, the recruitment has been notified. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) will carry out the recruitment drive. As announced in the notification, the online application process for UP Police Constable recruitment 2018 will commence from January 22.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has decided that the applicants should possess minimum 10+2 qualification and be of age between 18 and 25 years. The relaxation of 3 years in age limit will be applicable for the reserved category candidates. The tentative number of vacancies of Civil Police is 23,520 and Armed Constable is 18,000 posts. For the civil police posts, even the female aspirants are allowed to apply. The application fee for Uttar Pradesh Police Constable vacancy 2018 is Rs. 400 for the candidates belonging to General Category. From the sources, it has been revealed that the selection process will end by this year-end.
The application process for Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment has been made completely online by the Board. To apply for Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment 2018, the applicants will have to first register themselves at the official portal prpb.gov.in. Upon successful submission of the application form, the applicants will be required to pay the application fee. The online selection process for UP Police Constable recruitment will be done in 4 phases: Phase 1: Application, Phase 2: Written Exam, Phase 3: General Discussion, Phase 4: Physical Test.
As the online application process would end on February 22, the Selection Board will first scrutinize the applications and then the written exam will be organized for eligible applicants only. The Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Exam paper will consist of total 300 marks. The multiple choice questions will be based on General Hindi, General Knowledge, Numerical & Analytical ability, Mental Ability, and logical ability. The Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment has fixed written test as the qualifying exam for the next stage. Based on the minimum qualifying marks, the candidates will be shortlisted in 1:5 ratio for Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
The selection procedure to hire constables has been changed since last year by the Government of UP. As per a meeting conducted by CM of UP along with his other member in mid-2017, the Police recruitment process witnessed certain changes. The physical test marks will not have any bearing on the final results in police constable recruitment process. The Police Constable recruitment will be done on the basis of written examination. On the basis of the written examination, the merit list of appeared candidates will be prepared.
Aspiring candidates need to apply for the job within a time period of January 22 to February 22. The last date to submit fees is February 23, 2018.
