Lucknow University will conduct the Combined Pre-Ayush Test 2017 in the month of October and the application process commenced on Tuesday. The University of Lucknow started the application process for the Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Ayush Test – UP CPAT 2017 on September 12. Candidates who wish to apply for the entrance examination to Unani, Ayurvedic and Homeopathy colleges across the state can fill the form on the official website cpatup2017.in.
UP CPAT 2017 online form can be filled till the last date, i.e. September 25, 2017. Earlier, it was decided that the admission into these programmes would be done based on NEET scores but later on, the decision got withdraw and now it is confirmed that the admission would be done through Common Entrance Test (CET). The counselling process will be common for Government and Private Colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
The Ayush entrance exam will be conducted by Lucknow University on October 4, 2017, as an offline exam. The candidates will have to mark the answers in OMR sheet. As the application process would conclude on September 25, the applicants will be issued online admit cards for the exam. Lucknow University will upload the admit cards on September 29 and the applicants will have to download the same using their registration number. The result of UP CPAT 2017 is expected to be declared on October 12, and the counseling process is expected to commence from October 16, 2017.
UP CPAT 2017 Application Process: The candidates aspiring for the admission into the UP BAMS/ BHMS/ BUMS courses need to fill the CPAT Application form 2017. The application fee is Rs 2,000 for the general and OBC categories and Rs 1,000 for the SC. Documents required for application include valid email ID, active mobile number, Photo in jpeg format, Scanned image of the signature in jpeg format, Scanned right-hand thumb impression, High school certificate, Photo identity proof (Aadhar card, voter ID, driving license, passport), Reserved category certificates, and Income certificate.
Selection Process: The selection of the candidates will be done based on the scores they received in the qualifying examination. The candidates will have to secure a minimum of 50% marks for qualifying the test, for all categories. The eligible candidates who are selected through the Common Pre-Medical Entrance will be given admission to the B.A.M.S./ B.H.M.S. courses in the participating colleges after counseling on merit basis.
Last year, the first ever Ayush entrance exam in Uttar Pradesh was conducted y Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi in September. Over 16 thousand aspirants took the CPAT held in 2016 for around 3 thousand seats in Ayush courses.
