The answer key of Uttar Pradesh (UP) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2017 held today (May 3) will be released here in the evening today with the help of some coaching centres. Updates on UP B.Ed answer key are following here, watch the space.
Lucknow University administered the Joint Entrance Examination for B.Ed. admissions in two shifts today. The exam comprised of two papers which were conducted in separate shifts and now with the help of UP BEd answer key, the candidates will be able to analyze their performance in the exam. There are around 1.9 lakh seats in 20,000 colleges across the State and over 4.6 lakh students are competing for them.
The enrolment in Uttar Pradesh B.Ed entrance exam is on the rise for past two years. While there only around 2.3 lakh applicants for the exam in 2015, the figure increased to 3.03 lakh in 2016. This year, the total applications received for the test came out to be 4,64,676. This is due to the fact that the salary of government school teachers has increased manifold and hence there has been a rise in the interest among graduates to take up the teaching professions, the experts believe. Also, since the final year students were allowed to take the entrance exam, the enrolment figures have gone high.
UP B.Ed entrance exam was organized across 16 cities and as much as 905 test centers were set up for the conduct of the exam. Having received Around 136 test centers were set up in Lucknow only, while around 28,000 candidates were allotted one of the 55 test centers in Bareilly. Over 20,000 candidates took the exam at 42 centers in Azamgarh, as per the preliminary reports.
As the B.Ed entrance exam comprises of two papers, Paper 1 was conducted in the first shift from 8 am to 11 am, followed by Paper 2 in the second shift from 1 pm to 4 pm. Both the papers had 100 multiple choice questions, each carrying 2 marks. Below is the distribution of questions in Paper 1 & 2:
Paper 1 – General Knowledge and Language (Hindi/ English)
Paper 2 – General Aptitude Test and Subject Specific Test (Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Agriculture)
As announced by the Lucknow University, the candidates whose admit cards did not have the photograph were allowed to take the exam. The Varsity had made the arrangement of still photography at certain test centers for it.
During the exam, the candidates were supplied three copies of OMR sheet, of which, the candidates were allowed to carry back one sheet for their reference. Once the UP Bed answer key is released, the candidates will be able to match their answers with the answer key and with the help of it, they can ascertain the marks they will be getting in the exam.
The answer key of B.ed exam is expected to be published by the LU, however, it may take time. Meanwhile, many coaching institutes release the answer keys too. Once any such answer key is prepared, we will update the same here.
