UKPSC result for pre 2017 exam have been announced at www.ukpsc.gov.in today along with cut off marks. The results of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) PCS preliminary exam 2017 have been published in the form of merit list of successful candidates.
As many as 2,013 candidates have been declared qualified in the preliminary examination. Now these shortlisted candidates will have to take the Mains exam which is scheduled to be held on September 1 this year. The candidates can check UKPSC PCS Pre exam result at official website www.ukpsc.gov.in.
Results and exam report
The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) had released the official notification for PCS examination 2016 on October 7 for filling a total of 138 vacancies. The vacancies include Deputy Collector, Revneue Oficer, Commercial Tax Officer, Assistant Commissioner posts among others. The applications were filled from October 8 to 25 and around 44,759 candidates were called to take the combined state civil/ upper subordinate services preliminary exam.
UKPSC Pre result has been declared in the form of pdf file containing the roll numbers of all shortlisted candidates. A total of 2,013 candidates, out of 44,759 have been declared qualified in the preliminary exam. Check the UKPSC Pre result pdf here.
UKPSC PCS Pre exam was conducted on January 29. The Commission then displayed the answer keys on February 4 and the objections were invited from the candidates. Based on the objections, the answer keys were modified and now the result has been declared.
Official Cutoff marks
UKPSC PCS Pre exam comprised of two papers carrying total 300 marks. Along with the results, UKPSC has also declared the cut off marks and the marks obtained by all the candidates. The cut off for general category has been set as 181 marks, 165.75 marks for OBC, 142.25 marks for SC and 158.125 for ST. The cut off marks can be checked from here.
While the UKPSC Pre exam was conducted in 20 cities, the mains exam will be held in only two cities, viz. Hardwar and Haldwani. UKPSC Mains exam will comprise of 7 papers in which Paper 1 (Language) will be of 300 marks, while the remaining six papers will be of 200 marks each. The Mains exam will be of 1500 marks. As per the rules, the candidates will have to secure minimum 35 percent marks in the Language paper for further selection.
Based on the mains exam, the Commission will invite the qualified candidates for interview which will be of 200 marks. The details will be updated shortly at the official website.
The shortlisted candidates for UKPSC Mains exam will have to send the printout of the online application form along with other required documents to the UKPSC office either by post or in person. The same should reach the Commission’s office by May 30. The details of main exam fee and center information will be made available from May 10 to 25, while the detailed application form will be available on the official website on May 5.
The candidates belonging to general category will have pay Rs. 250 as fee for UKPSC mains exam, the fee will be Rs. 150 for OBC and Rs. 100 for SC, ST, PwD and Ex-Servicemen candidates.
