UCEED admit card has been released today by the organizing institute – Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) will be conducted as an online computer-based exam on January 20. The applicants can now download UCEED admit card 2018 from the Candidate Portal at the official website www.uceed.iitb.ac.in.
The application process for UCEED 2018 ended on November 17 and while the admit cards were initially scheduled to be available from December 25, IIT Bombay revised the date and announced that UCEED admit card will be available from January 1 onwards. The registered users can log in to the UCEED website using their email id and password to get access to UCEED 2018 admit card. The admit card will bear the candidate’s name, Registration ID, Roll number, photograph, signature, examination schedule, examination center details, and instructions.
The applicants should carefully examine the particulars mentioned in the UCEED admit card and contact the Chairman, JEE (Advanced), UCEED & CEED 2018 at IIT Bombay in case of any error in the details. UCEED 2018 will be conducted on January 20 in the morning shift (10 am to 1 pm) at multiple test centers in 20 cities across the Country and all the candidates will have to bring the printed copy of the download admit card at the time of UCEED exam.
UCEED 2018 will be conducted in following 20 cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Vishakhapatnam.
UCEED 2018 will be conducted as 1 question paper and the questions will be clubbed into three sections. Section A will have numerical answer type questions, Section B will have multiple select questions (1 or more correct answers) and Section C will have multiple choice questions (only 1 correct answer). The question paper will carry maximum 300 marks and only Section C will have negative marking.
Through UCEED 2018, IIT Bombay will admit the students to total 105 seats in the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme. Out of these seats, IIT Bombay has 30 seats, IIT Guwahati has 45 seats and the remaining 30 seats are in Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (IIITDMJ). Apart from these institutes, Lovely Professional University (Punjab), VIT University (Tamil Nadu) and University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (Dehradun) will also allot some seats in their undergraduate programme through UCEED, however, the seats will not be allocated in the Joint Admissions Exercise conducted by IIT Bombay.
