TSPSC Group 2 results have been announced by the Commission for the written exam held last year. The exam was held on November 11 & 13, 2016 and now the results have been declared. TSPSC has published a list of shortlisted candidates who will now have to appear for certificate verification. The Group 2 results have been published at the Commission’s portal www.tspsc.gov.in.
The Group 2 written exam was conducted by TSPSC on 11 & 13 November 2016 cross 1,191 test centers and the preliminary keys were published on 2nd December. After considering the representations from the candidates, the Commission published the final keys on 14 April.
Telangana State Public Service Commission had conducted the exam for filling 1,032 vacancies under Group 2 Services, notification (20/2015 & 17/2016). Around 5.17 lakh candidates had appeared in the written test which was conducted in offline mode. Following the recruitment rules, which mention that the candidates have to be provisionally admitted for certificate verification in the ratio 1:3 to the number of posts, total 3,147 candidates have been declared qualified in the Group 2 exam.
Check the Group 2 result merit list here. The shortlisted candidates are now required to go through the certificate verification process, after which the Commission will publish the provisional list of eligible candidates for the interview (oral test) separately.
For certification verification, the candidates have to produce the Original Certificates along with one set of Photostat copy duly attested by Gazetted Officer, relating to Age, Qualifications Community (Integrated), Latest Creamy Layer exemption certificate in case of B.Cs, Certificates relating to claim of age relaxation, Study (from 4th Class to 10th class). The verification of certificates will be held at Stanley College of Engineering & Technology for Women, Chapel Road, Abids from 12th June onwards.
The written exam carried 600 marks and out of the selected candidates, only 2,064 will be called for interview. The interview will carry 75 marks and the candidates will have to obtain minimum qualifying marks. The qualifying marks in interview will be 45% for OC candidates, 35% for BCs and 30% for remaining candidates. After the interview, the final selection list will be prepared by putting written exam marks and interview marks together. The finally selected candidates will be allotted to the Service / Department as per their rank in the merit list and as per Zonal Preference.
