TSPSC has published the revised final keys of the screening test held for recruitment to group 2 services posts. With the publication of final key and the revision of it, TSPSC is getting close to declare the group 2 results. Expectedly, the results may be declared by this month only. The candidates may find revised keys and press note at the official web portal www.tspsc.gov.in.
TSPSC had conducted the OMR based written exam on November 11 & 13, 2016 and the preliminary keys were put on the Commission’s website on December 2. After considering the candidates’ objections and making apt changes, the final keys were hosted on January 11. “Some candidates challenged the final keys and Commission considered their objections and revised the keys,” the press release reads. The revised final keys of Group 2 exam were published on April 14 and it has also been notified that no further objections will be considered by the Commission in this regard.
The Telangana State Public Service Commission had issued the notification (no. 20/2015) in December 2015 for filling 439 vacancies under Group-II Services (General Recruitment). A supplementary notification (no. 17/2016) was issued in September last year to add fresh 539 vacancies, thus taking the total vacancy count to 1,032. The vacancies include Municipal Commissioner, Sub-Registrar, Assistant Commercial Tax Officer, Deputy Tehsildar posts and others.
By combining these two notifications, the Commission organized the OMR-based examination on November 11 & 13, 2016 across 1,191 test centers. Well above 8 lakh candidates had applied for the Group 2 services exam, however, only around 5.17 lakh appeared for the exam. After three weeks of the exam, the preliminary keys were released on December 2. The Commission then asked the candidates to submit the objections from December 5 to 14 and after consideration by experts’ panel, final keys were issued on January 11. Now, after some candidates objected to the final keys, the Commission revised them and the revised final keys have been hosted on the Commission’s website.
The written exam carries 600 marks distributed amongst four papers. The candidates securing minimum qualifying marks in the written exam will be put up in a merit list (community & category-wise) as per TSPSC Group 2 results and only around 2,064 candidates will be called for interview (oral test). The interview will hold 75 marks and the minimum qualifying marks for interview have been fixed as 45% for OC candidates, 35% for BCs and 30% for SC, ST and PH categories.
The final selection will be on the basis of OMR exam and interview marks put together. The candidates will be selected and allotted to the Service/Department as per their rank in the merit list and as per Zonal Preference. The candidates will have to produce original documents and other particulars on the day of verification.
The candidates can also ask for the memorandum of marks by paying Rs. 200 through online payment in favour of Secretary, T.S. Public Service Commission, Hyderabad. The facility will be available after one month from the date of publication of final results.
