TSPSC FBO hall ticket to be out, Exam Date is 29 October

TSPSC will soon conduct the examination for Forest Beat Officer posts. TSPSC FBO exam date has been announced as 29th October 2017 and as per the official statement, FBO hall ticket will be made available to all the applicants 7 days before the exam. FBO hall ticket will bear the applicants basic details along with the registration number, roll number, exam date, shift timings and venue details. TSPSC FBO hall ticket will be soon available at the official website www.tspsc.gov.in.

Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) had released the official notification (no. 48/2017) on August 15 to fill 1,857 Forest Beat Officer (FBO) posts in Forest Department. Apart from FBO posts, the Commission had also notified to fill Forest Section Officer and Forest Range Officer posts through two separate notifications. The online applications for Forest Department recruitment were filled from August 21 to September 12. FSO exam is scheduled to be held on October 22, FBO exam date is October 29. The Commission postponed FRO exam from October 14 & 15 to November 11 & 12.

While TSPSC FBO exam will be conducted on October 29, the Commission has not yet clarified whether the exam will be conducted as a Computer-based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or as an offline OMR based exam. The applicants are waiting for the official word on the mode of FBO exam. It is expected that the Commission will soon release a notice regarding the FBO exam mode and also the TSPSC FBO hall ticket will specify the mode of exam.

TSPSC FBO exam will be conducted in two sessions: Forenoon session and Afternoon session on October 29, 2017. Multiple test centers will be set up for the FBO exam across 10 cities of the State. The exam will be conducted as two papers; Paper 1 will contain questions on General Knowledge and Paper 2 on General Mathematics. Both the papers will have 100 multiple choice questions and the candidates will be given 90 minutes to solve each paper. All the questions will carry 1 mark and the paper will be of SSC Standard.

The selection of candidates to Forest Beat Officer post will be made through Exam, Walking Test and Medical Test. The candidates declared qualified in the FBO exam will be called for certificate verification in order of merit. The minimum qualifying marks are set as 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SCs & STs. The candidates scoring marks more than the minimum qualifying marks will be a part of the merit list as the final selection will be made on the basis of exam marks only.
