Deputy Surveyor key will be released by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) for all the candidates who took the exam this Sunday. TSPSC had released the notification no. 34/2017 on 2nd June for filling 273 posts of Deputy Surveyors in Survey Settlement & Land Records Department and accordingly, the examination was conducted for all eligible applicants. Earlier, TSPSC had also issued a list of 309 candidates whose application were rejected.

The Deputy Surveyor exam was conducted as a single paper having 150 objective type questions. General Knowledge and Civil (I.T.I Trade) carried equal weightage in the exam as each question was of 1 mark. Out of maximum 150 marks, TSPSC has set 40% (60 marks) as the qualifying criteria for OCs. The minimum qualifying marks are 35% and 30% for BCs and SC/ST candidates. The selection of candidates to the Deputy Surveyor post is to be done through exam only.
TSPSC usually takes 1 week to 2 weeks for publishing the keys of an exam. As the Deputy Surveyor exam has already been conducted on 20th August, the Commission will soon prepare Deputy Surveyor key. Once prepared, TSPSC Deputy Surveyor key 2017 will be placed on the official website tspsc.gov.in for the use of candidates. TSPSC will also open a short window for candidates to submit their representations against the keys. The candidates will have to match the answers with Deputy Surveyor question paper to check the key.
Apart from TSPSC, some unofficial sources like Sakshi Education, Eenadu Prathibha also release their versions of keys for the exams conducted by TSPSC. The candidates may also refer to such answer keys, but one should wait for the release of official keys by TSPSC as only on the basis of it, the objections will be taken and the result will be declared.
After considering the representations, the Commission’s expert panel will furnish the final keys of the exam, through which the answer scripts of candidates will be assessed. Based on the Deputy Surveyor exam result, the qualified candidates will be called for verification of certificates. Candidates will be allotted the Service/ Department as per their rank in the merit list and as per the District preference. Those who get qualified will receive remuneration between Rs. 22,460 and Rs. 66,330.
