TS TET 2017 notification was finally rolled out on June 10, as announced by the Telangana Deputy CM & Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari a few days back. Today, 13th June marked the commencement of TS TET 2017 application process officially. Going by the name TS TET 2017 – Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test was awaited by thousands of unemployed youth in the State. Department of School Education, Hyderabad, Telangana has been given the responsibility to hold Telangana TET 2017. The detailed notification (information bulletin) of the test was published by the Department on Monday at the official website tstet.cgg.gov.in. The interested candidates should read the TSTET 2017 information bulletin carefully to ensure their eligibility and other terms before applying for the test. The candidates who possess D.Ed./ B.Ed./ Language Pandit or equivalent qualifications and the candidates pursuing final year of the said courses with requisite percentage of marks can fill TS TET 2017 application form.
The first part of applying to TS TET 2017 is to pay the fee which is Rs. 200. The payment of fee can be made through TS Online or payment gateway centers, the facility will remain open till June 22. The official website for filling TSTET 2017 application is tstet.cgg.gov.in. Upon successful payment of the fee, the candidates will be issued a Journal Number which is required to fill the application form. Online application filling will remain open till June 23, the candidates should acquaint themselves with the form filling procedure mentioned in the information bulletin.
TSTET 2017 is being organized in the State as per the guidelines framed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The candidates who intend to be teachers for Classes 1 to 8 in Telangana State are required to qualify in TSTET. TET exam will be conducted as two papers, wherein Paper 1 is meant for Classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for Classes 6 to 8. The candidates can appear for both the papers or individual papers, depending on their eligibility and interest. The application fee is same for all the options.
Department of School Education will be holding TSTET 2017 on 23rd July in all 31 districts of the State. The candidates scoring 60% or above marks in the exam will be declared TET qualified and will be issued TS TET Certificate or marks memo which will remain valid for a period of 7 years from the date of TET exam. The qualifying marks are 50% or above for BC candidates and 40% or above for SC/ ST/ PH candidates.
As per the reports, there are around 9 thousand vacancies of Teachers in the Schools of Telangana, hence TSTET 2017 holds immense importance for the government as well. New Teachers Selection Test (TST) is proposed to be conducted this year for recruitment of teachers. TST notification is expected to be released the very next day of announcement of Telangana TET results. The recruitment test will be conducted by TSPSC.
