TS POLYCET seat allotment result has been declared and TS POLYCET allotment order 2017 has been released a day ahead of the schedule. Candidates can now download their TS POLYCET 2017 allotment order from the official website i.e., www.tspolycet.nic.in under the candidate’s login. The allotment order were to be released on June 10 but the Directorate made the same available on Friday evening.
The Department of Technical Education is conducting admission of TS Polycet 2017 qualified candidates into various diploma level engineering and non-engineering courses through web-based counselling process. It should be noted the official site for counselling is tspolycet.nic.in, not polycetts.nic.in.
TS Polycet 2017 was conducted by the State Board of Technical Education & Training on April 22, in which total 1,28,889 candidates appeared. The results of Polytechnic common entrance test were announced on May 6 and the qualified candidates were awarded ranks on the basis of marks scored in the test. Later, the DTE opened the registrations for web-based counselling.
Initially, the qualified candidates were asked to report to any one of the designated Help Line Centers (HLCs) for certificate verification. Rank-wise schedule was also notified by the DTE as per which certificate verification process went on from May 29 to June 6. The candidates were also asked to exercise the options after certification process. While the option entry closed on June 7, the candidates were given a final chance on June 8 to make changes in the frozen options.
TS Polycet seat allotment is being made as per the merit rank and category (SC/ ST/ BC/ PH/ NCC/ CAP/ Sports and games quota etc) of the candidate and on the basis of final options submitted by them. The candidates can check the final seat allotment to check the allotment status. The candidates allotted a seat will have to download the allotment order to check further details. The candidates can download Polytechnic seat allotment order by using the ROC Form Number, Hall Ticket Number, password and date of birth in Candidate login page.
After downloading the seat allotment order, the candidates will have to remit the requisite fee in one of the designated banks and obtain a receipt. The next step will be to report at the respective polytechnics where the seat is allotted on or before the dates specified in the allotment order. If any candidate fails to report for admission at the allotted polytechnic within the mentioned dates, the allotment will be cancelled and candidate will have no claim for further allotment of seats. The tuition fee payable after allotment varies between Rs. 3800 to Rs. 15500 per annum depending on the type of college allotted.
Last year, there were only 39,000 seats in Polytechnic colleges of the State. Considering the growing demand for skilled supervisors in various industries, State government has increased the seats by establishing new polytechnics and conducting second shift in polytechnics and private engineering colleges. There are nearly 60,000 seats available in Polytechnic across the State. This includes around 58 government polytechnics and some 150 private Aided/ Private/ 2nd shift Polytechnics.
