POLYCET Telangana exam 2017 hall tickets released

POLYCET (Polytechnic common entrance test) in Telangana will be conducted on April 22 and the hall tickets have been issued. SBTET will be organising this examination for admission to polytechnic courses in state colleges.

While the applicants were provided with the facility to get the hall ticket after successful submission of application form itself, those who have not yet received the hall tickets can download it from the official website www.polycetts.nic.in now.

To download the hall ticket online, click on ‘Print Hall Ticket’ button available on the home page of official website. After filling key details like Tenth Exam Hall ticket number, date of birth and tenth passing/ appearing year, the hall ticket will be generated.

The Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) is managed by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad for admissions into Diploma-level courses offered in Government, aided, Private unaided polytechnics and polytechnics run in existing Private unaided Engineering colleges. The test covers also Diploma courses in Engineering/ Non-Engineering/ Technology except Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology and D.Pharmacy.

The applications for TS POLYCET 2017 were filled from March 14 to April 11. Being the first entry-level entrance exam for Class X students, the Board has received the applications in large numbers. The test will be conducted in a single shift of two hours from 11 am to 1 pm. It will comprise of 120 multiple choice questions distributed among three sections as follows:

  • Section A (Mathematics) : 60 questions
  • Section B (Physics) : 30 questions
  • Section C (Chemistry) : 30 questions

All the questions will carry 1 mark and since there will be no negative marking for wrong answers, the students should focus on attempting as many questions as they can, without the fear of losing a single mark. The questions will be framed as per the syllabus followed by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana, for Class X (SSC) annual examination.

Important: Since the entrance test itself is an application for admission in diploma courses, the TS POLYCET hall ticket is to be preserved and produced at the time of Admission.

The results of the entrance test will be announced on May 5 along with the ranks awarded to the students. All the admissions in diploma courses will be done on the basis of POLYCET ranks only. The meritorious students securing highest marks in POLYCET will also be eligible for Pratibha Awards, under which they will be awarded a Merit Certificate, Momento, and a scholarship of Rs. 10000 per annum for the entire duration of the course.
