Kakatiya University will be holding the Telangana State-level Integrated Common Entrance Test – TS ICET 2017 on May 18 and the hall tickets have been issued today. TS ICET hall ticket 2017 download has begun today, which was initially scheduled to begin on April 24. The ICET serves as an entrance examination for admissions to MBA and MCA courses.
KU conducted the State level ICET (for combined state of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana) in 2005, 2006, 2012, 2013, 2014 and two times TS ICET in the years 2015 & 2016. For admissions in the academic session 2017-18, the University has been once again authorized to conduct TS ICET on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education.
Following the permission, Kakatiya University published the notification of TS ICET 2017 on February 23 and opened the application process on March 14. The normal application process concluded on April 16, however, if one still wants to apply for the test, he/she can do so by paying the required late fee. The facility to register for TS ICET 2017 with late fee will remain open up to May 14.
TS ICET 2017 is being conducted for MBA and MCA admissions (full-time/ part-time/ evening/ distance mode) offered by 9 State Universities, including their affiliated colleges. The Universities offering admissions on the basis of TS ICET are Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU); Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H); Kakatiya University (KU); Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU); Osmania University (OU); Palampur University (PU); Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University (PJSAU); Satavahana University (SU) and Telangana University (TU).
TSICET 2017 will be held at 16 Regional Test centers in Telangana State in a single shift from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The applicants will be able to know their examination venue details through TS ICET hall ticket only, hence they are required to download the same. The hall tickets are available on the official website (icet.tsche.ac.in) and can be accessed by providing application number and date of birth.
On the exam day, the candidates are required to carry a Blue or Black ball point pen along with the printed copy of TS ICET hall ticket 2017. A candidate, not having the hall ticket, will not be allowed inside the examination hall. The candidates are advised to go through the instruction manual before appearing for the test.
TS ICET 2017 paper will consist of 200 multiple choice questions distributed among three sections; Section A – Analytical Ability (75 questions); Section B – Mathematical Ability (75 questions) and Section C – Communication Ability (50 questions). These sections are further divided amongst sub-sections, check it below:
Each question will carry 1 mark, hence the maximum marks for TS ICET 2017 will be 200. The qualifying marks have been set as 25 percent i.e. 50 marks out of total 200. The candidates scoring 50 marks or above only will be included in the merit list, however, there is no minimum marks requirement for SC and ST candidates.
The candidates will be given state-wide ranks in the order of merit in the TSICET 2017 and all the admissions will be made on the basis of the merit only.
