Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), the government of Kerala, had formulated HSCAP which is single widow system for higher secondary admissions in the state schools.
Plus one trial allotment result 2017 was originally scheduled to be released on May 29 and the first allotment results were to come on June 5. But as we had reported last week, the admission process was delayed due to the delay in CBSE 10th class results. After the CBSE results were declared on 3rd June, a window of few days was given to register to the students who had completed their SSLC education under CBSE board. Reportedly, the number of such students is near 50 thousand this year.
Over 5 lakh students each year apply for plus one admission through the single window system; HSCAP. The allotments are then done on the basis of SSLC results and also considering the category quota and reservation rules laid out by the government. In 2017, there are a total of 4,22,910 seats available for plus one admissions.
