Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) had released the official notification for Combined Civil Services Examination – 4 (Group IV exam 2017) last month and the one-month long registration process is due to end in next 7 days. The last date to apply for TNPSC Group 4 exam is December 13.
TNPSC Group 4 exam notification was released on November 14 for recruitment to 9,351 posts in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Survey and Land Records Subordinate Service and Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service. The vacancies include 494 posts of Village Administrative Officer, 4,096 posts of Junior Assistant (Non-Security), 205 posts of Junior Assistant (Security), 48 posts of Bill Collector, 74 posts of Field Surveyor, 156 posts of Draftsman, 3,463 posts of Typist and 815 posts of Steno-Typist.

Process to apply for TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2017: As per the eligibility criteria, the aspirants can apply for TNPSC Group 4 exam 2017. The applications are to be filled through the online portal only after completing the One-Time Registration process. TNPSC Group 4 application form is available at www.tnpsc.gov.in, www.tnpscexams.net, and www.tnpscexams.in.
The candidates are required to upload their photograph, specified documents, and signature, an online application without these will be rejected by TNPSC. After submitting the application, the candidates can print/ save the application in PDF format. The candidates need not send the printout of online application or any other supporting documents to the Commission as the certificate verification will be done after the written exam.
The last date to apply for TNPSC Group 4 exam is December 13 (up to 11.59 pm), while the last date for fee payment is December 15. The exam fee can be paid through Bank or Post Office. As per the policies of TNPSC, SC, ST, differently abled persons and destitute widow of all communities are exempted from payment of the fee.
TNPSC Group 4 Exam 2017: The registered candidates will be issued hall tickets for the written exam scheduled to be held on February 11, 2018. TNPSC Group 4 exam will be conducted as a single paper having 200 multiple-choice questions. There will be 75 questions on General Studies, 25 questions on Aptitude Test and 100 questions on General Tamil or General English. The maximum marks will be 300, while the minimum qualifying marks for selection will be 90. All the questions will be of SSLC standard.
