Group 1 exam: After we reported that NR IAS Academy and Appolo Study Centre have released the TNPSC group 1 answer keys, Shankar IAS Academy also uploaded their version of preliminary keys for group 1 exam held on 19th February, 2017.
TNPSC will officially release the group 1 exam answer keys in about 3-4 days. TNPSC conducted the written examination for recruitment to 85 posts in group 1 cadre this past Sunday.
As for the further schedule of events, TNPSC will release the group 1 answer key in about 3-4 days. However, some of the coaching providers released the answer key for this TNPSC group 1 exam 2017 in Sunday evening itself and some will do so today.
NR IAS Academy and Appolo Study Centre are among the ones which have availed the keys to candidates via their online portals. Some of the centres namely; Shankar IAS Academy and Radian IAS Academy haven’t done so till Monday morning but are expected to uploaded their versions of solved papers by this afternoon.
While TNPSC itself has not released the group 1 answer keys yet, it will do so by Wednesday or Thursday, going by previous doings. The details of the official answer keys will be uploaded at the commission’s website (www.tnpsc.gov.in). The answer keys by coaching centres is not certainly official but is credible and can be used by candidates to help tally their answers.
TNPSC, the Commission, successfully conducted the preliminary written examination for group 1 services on Sunday (February 19, 2017). There is no official date but candidates in access of 1 lakh have been reported to have taken the exam. The vacancies notified under this recruitment is 85 for posts including that of district officers to deputy collectors. Some coming reports suggest that turnout percentage has been near 70 percent.
The result of the examination is expected to be announced within a month or two. TNPSC has neither fixed the schedule of result declaration of prelims exam nor the date for holding of mains exam. Candidates who will qualify the prelims based on the cut-off set by TNPSC will proceed to mains examination and interview process. The cut-off has not been set yet.
While the prelims exam was just one session exam; held over 3 hours and had 200 questions, mains exam will consist of 3 papers, each of 3 hours. Each paper of mains exam will be of 306 marks and interview will contribute to 120 marks.
