The candidates selected through Syndicate Bank PO exam will be given admission to Postgraduate Diploma in Banking & Finance course offered through Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) (deemed to be university) & NITTE (deemed to be university).

Syndicate Bank PO recruitment notification has been recently released and the applications will commence from Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Syndicate Bank has invited applications from graduates for admission to Postgraduate Diploma in Banking & Finance course offered through Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) (deemed to be university) & NITTE (deemed to be university).

On successful completion of the course within the stipulated time period, the candidates would be offered appointment in the bank as Probationary Officer in Junior Management Grade / Scale-I. The candidates will be selected through a selection process consisting of an online test followed by Group Discussion or/and Personal Interview. There are total 500 seats to be filled through Syndicate Bank recruitment notification.

Start date for Online Registration is January 02, 2018 while the last date for Online Registration is January 17, 2018. Online Payment of Application Fees can be made from January 02, 2018 to January 17, 2018. Call letter for Examination will be made available for download after February 05, 2018. Date of Syndicate Bank PO Online test (Tentative) is February 18, 2018.

Candidates can apply online at the official website of the bank, www.syndicatebank.in. The application fee for the candidates belonging to General category is INR 600 while those belonging to reserved category will have to pay INR 100. The candidates will be selected by Syndicate Bank through a selection process consisting of an (open) online test conducted by IBPS followed by Interview and/or Group Discussion.

The online test will feature both objective type test and descriptive type test. Objective type test will have 50 questions each in Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness. While in the Descriptive test, 2 questions will be from English Language. Each of the questions carries one mark; hence every section carries 50 marks. Composite Time of objective test is two hours while for the descriptive test, it is 30 minutes. Each Candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each objective test and also minimum total score in the objective test.

There will be a descriptive paper for the test of writing skill in English which has to be completed in online mode only. The descriptive test is for qualifying purpose only. The descriptive paper of only those candidates who secure minimum marks in objective test will be assessed. Wrong answers in objective test will attract negative marks for the online test.

The aggregate marks of qualified candidates in the Objective Test will be arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to approximately 5 times the number of vacancies declared for each category, will be called for Interview and/ or Group Discussion as decided by the Bank. The qualifying marks in Interview and/or Group Discussion will be as decided by the Bank. The fees for this Course will be Rs. 3.50 lakhs (all inclusive of boarding, Lodging and course fees, other fees, etc.) plus taxes.
