The apex court of Country, Supreme Court of India has asked CBSE to retain the results of AIPMT 2015 till next week. The results were stated to be rolled out on 5 June, but as of now, CBSE will not announce the entrance test results before 10 June 2015.
The decision of holding AIPMT results has come in the wake of PIL filed in the Court after Haryana Police allegedly claimed that the answer key for AIPMT paper was leaked. Pant and Justice Amitava Roy passed the order today.
The Court has not ruled out the option of re-conduct of AIPMT, but has termed it as ‘last resort’. The Court added, “We will decide the fate of the exam on June 10 and we want some tangible information so that we can take a decision.”
4 accused were arrested after the conduct of AIPMT on 3 May, Special Investigation Team which is currently looking over the case had told that the mastermind of the racket was Roop Singh Dangi who is still absconding.
Haryana police submitted its third status report to the Supreme Court today. According to the submitted report, 25 students have been identified as the beneficiaries of this paper leak probe. Two of those identified students have been arrested and interrogated. Court has asked the Investigation team to identify all the real beneficiaries so that it can make out the final decisions.
Around 6.3 lakh students appeared in AIPMT 2015 for admission to approx 2000 seats, which was held on 3 May. All the students are looking forward to the final decision from Supreme Court.
