After the initiation of Start-up India to create young entrepreneurs, Government of Haryana, under the leadership of the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, held a Start Up Boot camp at The NorthCap University (NCU), Gurgaon on 29 January 2016. The event is in association with the Start up Accelerator Chamber of Commerce. The main motive behind this event is to create job providers rather than job seekers.
On the event day, 60 young budding entrepreneurs participated. Initially, they were divided into 7 groups. Each group was given a chance to present their idea to the jury. In the span 0f 15 minutes, teams represented their innovative ideas like app for automated parking system, for helping dumb people, how to track lost things, etc. After a long consideration, three teams were selected by the jury.
Now the weekend start-up competition is scheduled on 4th-6th March 2016 at The NorthCap University, Gurgaon. In this competition, teams from all over Haryana will participate to become the best start up idea. The top teams will be complimented by the Chief Minister of Haryana on 8th March 2016 at The Leela Ambience, Gurgaon.
“The Start-Up Boot Camp was a wonderful opportunity for the students to showcase their entrepreneurship abilities. Many students of The NorthCap University have launched their start-ups and proved themselves to become successful entrepreneurs,” said the Pro Vice-Chancellor of NCU, Brig SK Sharma (retd).
The winning team students showed their positive response to the event. Mr. Sameer Walia, the executive director of Start up Accelerator and Information Chamber of Commerce, was impressed with the performance of students.
Different parts of the country are doing their best to moving forward the dream of Prime Minister of India. This type of event will promote start-ups and young entrepreneurs to enrich their skills. Also, the case of unemployment would become less in India.
