Update: SSC Scientific Assistant result has been declared today. The candidates can now check their marks from http://184.108.40.206/imd2017_marks/. In a press note issued by SSC, 4,75,093 candidates had applied for the exam, but 1,61,196 actually appeared in the exam. The marks have been released for all the candidates.
SSC Scientific Assistant examination was conducted by Staff Selection Commission in November last year and the results will be announced today. SSC Scientific Assistant result 2018 will be declared online at the official website www.ssc.nic.in. SSC will also publish the Scientific Assistant merit list with the cut off marks.
SSC had notified the recruitment of Scientific Assistant in India Meteorological Department Examination 2017 in July and the applications were filled in July-August. SSC conducted the online examination from 22nd November to 25th November at different centres over the Country. There are total 1,102 vacancies of Scientific Assistant to be filled through the exam.
After the completion of the online exam, SSC released the answer keys on 6th December and invited representations from the candidates. Based on the analysis of the representations, SSC will declare Scientific Assistant result today. The exam carried total 200 marks, distributed equally among two parts. The expected cut-off for Part 1 is 60 to 70 marks and around 40 to 50 marks for Part 2. SSC Scientific Assistant cut off marks in aggregate should lie between 110 to 120 marks.
SSC will prepare the category-wise merit list based on the performance of the candidates in the exam and hand it over to India Meteorological Department. The final result will be declared by IMD.
