The official answer keys of Scientific Assistant examination has been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The computer-based exam for recruitment of Scientific Assistants in India Meteorological Department was conducted by SSC from November 22 to 25 at different centers all over the Country. The candidates can check SSC Scientific Assistant answer key from the official portal of Commission.
SSC had taken the online applications for Recruitment of Scientific Assistant in India Meteorological Department Examination 2017 from July 18 to August 14. The total number of vacancies to be filled through SSC Scientific Assistant exam is 1,102. The exam was earlier proposed to be held from November 20 to 27, however, it was actually held from November 22 to 25. For maintaining the transparency in the selection process, SSC has today released the official Scientific Assistant exam answer key.
The candidates can check SSC Scientific Assistant answer key as well as their response sheet from www.ssc.nic.in. To check it, the candidates will have to log in to the SSC website. The candidates can submit representation against any question/ answer for which they will have to pay Rs. 100 per question/ answer challenged. The candidates can submit representation up to December 9 (5 pm) on payment of Rs. 100 per question/ answer challenged.
To review a question or submit an objection against SSC Scientific Assistant answer key, the candidates will have to enter 10-digit Roll Number (USER ID) followed by Suffix – P or C or E for their specific subject paper. P stands for Physics, C stands for Computer Science and Information Technology and E stands for Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. In place of password, they will have to enter their date of birth in DDMMYYYY format.
SSC Scientific Assistant Expected Cut Off Marks: SSC Scientific Assistant exam was conducted as a single paper having 200 objective type questions. Part 1 having 100 questions was common for all applicants, while part 2 had three separate papers (P, C, E) having 100 questions each, out of which the candidates had to attempt 1 paper. Each having 100 questions. Overall, the question paper had 200 questions, each having 1 mark.
For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total score and hence it will play a major role in the determination of SSC Scientific Assistant cut off marks. The expected cut-off marks for Part 1 are 60-75 marks, while it should be around 40 to 55 marks. The total cut-off marks of SSC Scientific Assistant exam should lie between 110 and 125 marks. The cut-off would be different for each category. Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the online exam, SSC will prepare category-wise merit list and hand it over to the India Meteorological Department.
