After a round of speculations, Staff Selection Commission has confirmed the dates for Constable GD examination. The commission notified about the dates through an official notification issued at its website. The paper based test is poised to be conducted this Sunday, on 4th October 2015. The exam will be organized on one-day only on 4 October.
The commission released admit cards for the test takers earlier this week, who had qualified the pre-test stage of physical efficiency test and PST. The examination is being taken by SSC to recruit candidates in various departments of CISF, BSF, CRPF, SSB,ITBP, SR, NIA and SSF. The application submission process took place through the nine zonal regions across the country.
Initially the commission has availed the provision of online test at the time of application forms submission. However, according to the most recent notification issued dated 24th September, Staff Selection Commission withdrawn its circular to conduct the exam through online mode and henceforth, the test will now be held based on offline (OMR Sheet) mode only. Even the registrants who had opted for taking test by online mode, are now directed to take offline exam only. The commission took the decision based on administrative reasons.
Reports state that more than one million applications had been received by the Staff Selection Commission against the combined 63290 vacancies available in all forces. The registrations were carried out online in January- March earlier this year. Only the candidates who qualified PET/ PST, have been issued their respective admission letters and are viable to appear for the written exam.
The official answer keys for the respective sets of paper will be published following the completion of test and results are expected to be announced around mid- November.
